Henry Charles (or Heinrich Karl) Bukowski is one of the most famous American authors of the 20th century. He was born and raised in Los Angeles from a family with a German Background. He wrote hundreds of poems and stories, and six novels where he emphasized on the ordinary lives of poor Americans: sex, alcohol, drugs… a harsh life!
